Can I return my public library books to the U of A Library?

Answer

Yes, you can return a public library book to any U of A Library location, so long as the book belongs to a member of The Alberta Library (TAL). TAL resource sharing policy states that “Borrowed materials can be returned at any member library in Alberta and these returns will be forwarded to the host library."

However, we strongly recommend returning the book to the library you borrowed it from. It may take a week or more for the book to return to the lending library, and in the meantime the loan remains on your library account and you may receive overdue notices or notices that the book has been assumed lost.
