What is a book review?

Answer

Book reviews are brief articles that provide commentary on books. Although they are often published in academic journals, they do not qualify as scholarly articles. Book reviews:

  • Are short (usually only one or two pages)
  • Sometimes have the phrase "book review" in the title
  • May be published in newspapers, magazines, and scholarly journals
